Artwork For Everyone
Well it's about time I posted something!
Hey people,

It's been ages since updating. I am guilty of being a multi-distracted individual who should really make more time to update my blog. However, better late than never again.

Things have been very steady over the years. I have continued to make creations for clients and friends on a regular basis, which I couldn't be happier to report. People's enthusiasm and support of what I do keeps propelling me to create more and try new things. For this I could not be more grateful. I have been swept up in custom orders and have not had a full showing of my works in some time. I am looking forward to this changing as I embark in new directions utilizing printmaking, oil and acrylic mixed media.

I was recently mentioned In the "Duncan Trussell Family Hour" by Duncan himself, a very talented performer and comedian from LA. I sent him a portrait of a beloved ventriloquist dummy that he used for years to ensue hilarity. Sadly, someone stole this prop of his, and I saw it fit to create a memorial piece in this character's honor. To listen for the mention, it's in the episode with Natasha Leggero episode from 4/23/12 at the 40 minute mark. have a listen when you get a chance.

I am currently working on a new body of work which will be quite different from my previous pieces involving silkscreening techniques and vibrant inks and paints. It's still a work in progress, but I am deciding that this will be my most involved body of work to date.

Thanks for checking in, and much love to Everyone.

October 2009

I expect I'll be creating new pieces for the month of October and will be putting them up in the "What's for Sale" section. These may be prototypes or just something different, a new style or texture that I want to try out.

Pieces in the "What's for Sale" section are finished and framed, ready for sale, so if you can't wait 2 weeks it might be the way to go. If you have an interest in one of them, or have any questions about it, just click on my contact page and we will take it from there.

TIGHT KNIT and Upcoming Shows!
Well Tight Knit was a pretty cool event. I had a table besides my brilliant stone sculptor/woodworker Matt Ezzo. We talked with a lot of people and got some good leads from the traffic coming through on Black Friday and Saturday. Its nice to see how many people support local art and the local Troy based Farmers Market.

I ended up having a conversation with a Tommy Watkins, curator for Wine Bar located on Lark Street in Albany. He is interested in featuring my work for the month of December, starting on the 7th and running through the end of the month.

I also would like to announce my upcoming showing at Uncommon Grounds in Saratoga for the month of January and another Uncommon Grounds showing at their Albany location for the month of February.

Very exciting stuff. And thanks again to all my Peers, friends, fellow creative souls and everyone else that came out and supported us all. You Rock!

Best,

Incredible client
So I was working in my studio a couple weeks ago and I had a knock on my door leading to my studio.

Apparently there were some people that wanted to speak with me!

I went downstairs and met with them and we talked for quite a while. It turned out that they were interested in having a custom Jim Morrison Painting created. As it turns out, they were planning on giving to the husband's brother who actually lives and owns Jim Morrison's home in the Hollywood Hills. I was ecstatic.

After talking about soem designs and showing them some sketches of ideas, we had come to a place where we weren't entirely sure which point in Mr. Morrison's life to highlight a representation from.

Do we take the most common and popular iconic image of him during that famous photoshoot? Do we choose a point in his life from a more older representation of his career?

Although we took a few days to collectively decide what would be most fitting for his brother's historic home, I had already begun a Jim Morrison Portrait at the start of our talks. I had no idea that it would be exactly what he was looking for, and when I sent Andrew a photo of the completed piece, he knew in an instant that it would be exactly what his brother would appreciate and love as a gift for his birthday.

Andrew is also an accomplished pilot with a carrear in aviation over the last 15 years, and he personally flew to LA to deliver the painting and spend some quality time with his brother.

His brother's reaction was priceless and he absolutely loved the piece.

I am honored to not only have been the Artist to create an image of Jim Morrison to hang in his historical home, but to also associate with such incredible people on so many levels. I'm incredibly glad that everything worked out as it did.

Thanks so much for involving me guys. It's been a pleasure.
New Studio Space and Recent Relocation
Hey Everyone!
Some of you may not know this, but I have recently relocated to the Naperville/Joliet area in the Suburbs of Chicago. I have also recently acquired an art Studio not 5 miles away from my current residence, which is exciting and convenient to say the least. You can expect quite a few brand new and polished works on the way to the website and ready for sale.

Any questions please be in touch.

An upcoming permanent exhibit is coming for Lockport, IL in a local area Music School. More to come.

I hope everyone is happy and healthy and talk to you soon.
